New Construction
We provide CHANCE® helical pier foundation systems for new commercial and residential constructions. They have been designed, tested and proven for applications in expansive soils, high water tables, fill areas and other areas where unstable soils require piers.
The pre-engineered and manufactured underpinning system is evaluated and listed with building code agencies. On reinforced footing or stem walls, the new construction helical piles are usually placed every 4 to 6 feet depending upon the load of the structure and the bearing strength of the soil.
The Procedure
The Rempel Foundation Solutions crew will excavate down to the footing at each pier location. A notch will be chipped out of the footing to accommodate the support bracket. Helical piers will be driven into stable subsoil until the prescribed depth is reached. A steel L-shaped bracket will connect to the base of the foundation wall. The weight of your house will be transferred to the helical pier foundation system. The brackets are adjusted to correct the structural damage. Finally, all excavation is backfilled.
